Paddletail Fishing Lure
Our Baitfish Corsair 8cm are small paddletails inspired by our original Corsairs.
Designed to have the characteristics and performance of our Corsairs but in a slightly smaller and fun size. Available in six colours our small, 4g lures come in packs of five.
Creating our Baitfish Corsair
The Baitfish Corsair came about after many requests from both crew members and customers for a smaller paddle tail pattern. With the success of the Corsair it was a simple decision to use the same design to produce this little gem of a lure.
We have all been there when the bass are not interested in anything else other that a tiny herring or other tasty morsel, well the Baitfish Corsair fits that need perfectly.
The natural form and scale patterning give this lure a realistic body shape in addition to the strong paddle tail which adds realism as well as vibration to its movement, the feedback is amazing for such a small lure.
This lure is best used with a 1/0 or 2/0 twist lock style hook or a jig head, for example a Decoy Violence or Xorus.
Testing Our Lures
The early testing found these lures being hammered by bass in both open sea and estuary environments and these included fish in the upper sixty mark. Their size also gives you an option of fishing them along or as a dropper ahead of another lure for the enhanced presentation.
They are available in a pack of five, and come in six standard colours: White, Pearl, Blue Shimmer, Black, Pink and Mantis Green. Of course the Baitfish Corsair can be requested in custom colours by contacting us via email on pirateluresuk@gmail.com.
