Story Of Our Wrassers
Last winter a good friend approached me with few ideas on a new paddletail lure he wanted to design for his favourite wrasse fishing. We were looking for a creature/shrimp lure for a while. With additional advice from one of our shops we set to design this incredible new lure. Countless hours were spent on discussing the desired shape and action, even more time was spent on reshaping our 3d project until we were all happy with it. A lure that can be fished in a conventional paddletail way, imitating baitfish but also when rigged belly up, slow twitches can imitate the shape and behaviour of a shrimp on those sandy patches between the rocks.
Simple and durable, this lure was especially designed for Wrasse fishing, but so far proved itself great as a sea bass killer. Small, but chunky body that allows for some head wobble, tilted paddle for delicate, very fast tail action. To keep the price down we resigned from 3d eyes and painting process.
All that was left now was to create a new scent formula. For over a year we researched scent and taste in fish. One thing that was surprisingly common was the scent of aniseed oil. It created an attractiveness for the fish and is a substance we have used for our lures since Saeducers were released. It has an amazing ability to enhance the aroma and taste it creates.
This is the way! Our new scent formula is based on crustacean extract spiked with the taste and scent enhancing additive, that supercharged our lures. Our lures now keep the scent longer and are more attractive to fish, even for those finnicky Wrasse.
